Providing Soccer Gear To The Underprivileged Children of Colombia.
Cleats For Colombia was created in the summer of 2018 by two brothers, Alexander and Marco, with the intent of providing soccer cleats and gear to the underprivileged children of Colombia.
On our yearly family vacation to Cartagena, Colombia we realized how blessed we are to have so much and decided how can we help here in Cartagena where there is so much need. Our parents, who are from Spain and Colombia, raised us loving the sport of soccer. These two soccer-crazy countries live and breath this sport.

We decided to help the children in Colombia by donating soccer cleats and gear that we collect here in the United States. Many times we buy multiple pairs of cleats during the soccer season and throw them out when they no longer fit or even when they go out of style.
Our goal is to collect used cleats and soccer gear that are in good condition in order to put a smile on these kids’ faces. Many of these kids have so little and play the sport that we love with hardly any equipment.
Our project began in December 2018 with our first mission trip to Olaya Futbol Club in Cartagena, Colombia. A year later, in November 2019, we doubled our efforts, delivering twice the amount of donations to Club Deportivo Semillas De Vida y Paz in Medellin. The COVID-19 pandemic paused our travels in 2020, but we returned to Medellin in July 2021, where we had the opportunity to visit the children of La Comuna 13. In June 2022, we took our donations to La Academia Del Caribe Futbol Club in Cartagena. Our most recent trips, in the summer of 2023 and March of 2024, marked our largest contributions yet, benefiting the children of Fundacion Granitos de Paz in Olaya Herrera. During our last trip, we had the distinct honor of meeting and being recognized by President Ivan Duque, the former president of Colombia.
